Lifestyle Product Photo: Keep the SKU, Scene Only
Upload one real product and place it in one in-use scene. Keep the SKU. Not a white MAIN image, not a new pack, not a marketplace approval.

A lifestyle product photo is a scene pass, not a new pack shot. Upload the real item. Keep shape, color, label, logo, pack size, and crop of the object. Change only the room around it: kitchen, vanity, desk, trailhead, or a quiet in-use set. The result is not opaque pure white, not a transparent PNG, and not a marketplace approval. Krea’s 15 October 2026 launch post for Krea 3 describes the same lock: change the setting around a product and leave the label sharp; a pack shot on white can become a campaign photo. OpenAI’s image-prompting guide says to start from the image you need, name what stays, change one thing, and inspect. ChatGPT Images 2.5, launched 8 September 2026, is stronger at keeping a subject from a reference photo. Google’s Nano Banana 2.1 model page, dated 6 October 2026, lists subject consistency and 1K, 2K, and 4K output. FreeGPTImg is a GPT Image 2 workspace: 20 daily free credits, no credit card required. Overlay real words last.
Draft in FreeGPTImg. Run the in-use pass in the lifestyle product photo generator, keep MAIN on the white-background product photo tool, cut a marketplace crop in the Amazon product photo generator, send a catalog surface to the product background changer, keep materials honest in AI product photography, change one noun from a locked hero in image to image, and stay on GPT Image 2 when that is the label on the screen.
What the job actually is
The file you already have is the SKU. The room is scenery. If the bottle gains a new cap, a new flavor stripe, a second product, or a white sweep “so it can also be MAIN,” you did not make a lifestyle still. You rolled a cousin, or you mixed two jobs.
Krea 3, released 15 October 2026, is an editing model. The public post says most edits come back in under 8 seconds at native 2K, at $0.06 per 2K image on Krea, with up to six reference images, and that it leaves alone what you did not ask it to touch. Those numbers are Krea’s, measured on Krea. They are not a speed claim for FreeGPTImg, and they are not a promise that FreeGPTImg runs Krea 3. The useful part is the lock: keep the product, change the scene.
OpenAI’s Image API still splits generations from edits. Edits start from an image you already trust. The prompting guide is blunt: identify what should change and what must stay the same, refine one thing at a time, inspect the result. GPT Image 2.5 Flare and Sunburst are documented as stronger at precise editing and subject preservation than GPT Image 2. FreeGPTImg currently exposes GPT Image 2 on this loop. Write the name on the screen into the filename. Do not stamp a 2.5, 2.1, or Krea 3 badge on a GPT Image 2 file.
Amazon’s product image guide still treats the main image as a realistic photo of the item you sell, on a pure white field, without extra graphics or type. A lifestyle kitchen, a marble slab, and a campaign cutout can sit in the gallery or in ads. They do not replace MAIN. Read the live help article for the category you sell. AI output is a draft until a person checks it.
Name the scene before you generate
Weak files fail because they ask for a loft breakfast, a pure white MAIN, a sale badge, and a transparent PNG in one pass. Pick one job.
| Job | What you export | Keep | Change one thing | Wrong move |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lifestyle in-use still | One SKU in one real room or outdoor set, even light, product readable | Shape, color, label, logo, pack size | Scene only | White sweep, extra SKUs, invented print |
| Quiet home / vanity set | Same SKU on a counter or desk that a buyer would recognize | The upload | Room, light, supporting props that are not for sale | Props that look included in the box |
| Outdoor in-use crop | Same SKU in weather and ground that match the category | The upload | Location only | A new colorway “for the trail” |
| White MAIN draft | Different file, different tool | The SKU | Backdrop to opaque white | Uploading the loft as MAIN |
| Catalog field swap | Different file, different tool | The SKU | Gray, marble, wood, or shelf | Calling a wood table “lifestyle enough” |
| Social ad still | Different file after the scene is honest | The SKU | Empty overlay, then type in an editor | Baking a price into the pixels |
Leave prices, ratings, and headlines empty if those words must be exact. Models still invent letters. Overlay in an editor after the SKU matches the upload.
Lock the crop before you generate. A 4:5 gallery still and a 1:1 listing tile are different jobs. Do not switch aspect between option A and option B.
Clean generation workflow
Use the same sequence in the lifestyle product photo generator, a GPT Image 2 tab, ChatGPT Images 2.5, a Gemini session, or a Krea 3 editor. The rule is the lock, not the logo on the chat.
- Upload the real file. Front-of-pack, complete object, readable label, already close to the crop you will publish. A tiny thumbnail, a screenshot of a competitor, or a photo of three SKUs is the wrong source.
- Write five lines. SKU identity (shape, color, label words you must keep), the one scene (kitchen morning, oak desk, trailhead dirt — pick one), crop, model name on the screen, and “no type.”
- Write keep / change / do-not. Keep the upload, including silhouette and print. Change only the scene. Do not add a second product, a logo you do not own, a person unless the job is on-model, or a price.
- Optional look reference is look only. A second image may show how warm the window light should feel. The product, logo, packaging, and crop still come from the upload. Do not paste someone else’s listing as the hero. Krea’s post says to name what each reference is for when you use more than one. Keep that habit even if you only have one product file.
- Generate three options on the same crop. Switching from 4:5 PDP gallery to 9:16 story between option A and option B is a new job.
- Inspect at 100%, then at listing width. Check melted labels, shifted logos, extra caps, props that look included, fake windows reflecting products you do not sell, and unreadably invented type. If it fails at 400 pixels, it fails on a phone.
- Route the file. Lifestyle gallery, white MAIN, catalog field, cutout, and ad still are different downloads. Do not reuse one JPEG for all five.
- Overlay real words last. Offer, date, and URL never belong in the generator if they must be exact.
If you are on Gemini, treat extra reference stills as the same SKU from useful angles, not as a moodboard of other brands. Google’s Nano Banana 2.1 docs describe multi-image fusion with a documented object-fidelity band. This job is still one object and one scene.
Prompt formula
Lifestyle product photo only, not a new SKU, not a white MAIN image, not a transparent PNG.
Model: [GPT Image 2 / ChatGPT Images 2.5 / Nano Banana 2.1 / Krea 3 / name on screen].
Source: uploaded photo of [one real product, pack size, label color].
Keep: exact silhouette, materials, label layout, logo, cap, colorway, and object crop.
Change only: place the same object in [one in-use scene], natural light, commercial composition, product still large and readable.
Text in image: none. Empty price, headline, badge, watermark, and marketplace chrome.
Do not add: extra products, fake certifications, sale stickers, copyrighted characters, restored letters that were not readable, a pure white sweep.
Prompt examples
Kitchen in-use still from a locked upload
Keep this exact matte ceramic pour-over kettle, brushed steel handle, true product color, same spout and logo.
Place it on a pale stone kitchen counter with morning window light. Soft steam optional. No second kettle.
No type. 4:5. Not a white background. Not a listing MAIN image.
Do not invent a new logo or rewrite the print.
Vanity lifestyle crop, same SKU
Keep this exact 50 ml amber dropper bottle, black cap, true label layout.
Set it on a marble bathroom vanity with a folded linen towel behind it. Quiet daylight.
No extra bottles, no ingredients panel invented beside it, no “clean beauty” headline.
If print was unreadable in the upload, leave it soft. Do not restore letters.
Desk scene, then stop
Keep this exact pair of over-ear headphones, same cups, same cable color, same scuffs that are on the pair I sell.
Place them on an oak desk next to a closed notebook. 4:5. No person, no screen UI, no price.
Empty labels. Same silhouette. Not a white catalog still.
Image-to-image, one noun: scene
Image-to-image: keep this exact product, label, cap color, and object crop.
Change only the setting to a sunlit apartment kitchen. Product remains the hero.
Do not add type, a second SKU, or a pure white field.
Review the pixels before you upload
Zoom to 100%. A thumbnail hides a swapped cap.
- SKU honesty. Same silhouette, colorway, pack size, and label. If a shopper would think it is a different flavor, discard it.
- Scene honesty. The new room is one in-use set, not marble-as-white, not a seamless sweep, not a checkerboard. If you cannot name the room in five words, you mixed jobs.
- Included-in-box honesty. A towel, a plant, or a notebook can be scenery. A second bottle, a charger, or a gift box that is not in the listing looks like a bundle you do not sell.
- Type honesty. Prices, stars, “new,” and URLs stay out of the pixels. Existing label words must match the pack you sell.
- Restore honesty. Blur that hid letters cannot become a new legal claim. If the print was unreadable, reshoot or overlay the real line in an editor.
- Rights honesty. Your product. No competitor packaging, no celebrity hands, no copyrighted mascot.
- Route honesty. MAIN, gallery, ad, and cutout are different files. Amazon’s main-image rules still want a realistic product on pure white, not a lifestyle kitchen cropped tight.
Limitations you should not skip
FreeGPTImg is a GPT Image 2 workspace with 20 daily free credits and no credit card required. The lifestyle product photo generator is AI editing. That is not a claim that FreeGPTImg runs ChatGPT Images 2.5, Krea 3, or gemini-nano-banana-2.1, that every kitchen snap becomes a legal gallery image, that missing print will be recovered, that you own commercial rights in every territory, or that a marketplace will accept the file. Match the label on the page you opened.
OpenAI’s current Image API documents recommended sizes at 1024×1024, 1536×1024, and 1024×1536, with custom WIDTHxHEIGHT strings whose edges are multiples of 16, aspect between 1:3 and 3:1, neither edge above 3840 pixels, and a total pixel count up to 8,294,400 (4K). Resolutions above 2560×1440 are experimental. Transparent PNG or WebP is a different export (background: "transparent"). Keep it off this loop.
Do not upload a lifestyle still as Amazon MAIN because the kettle looks isolated at 200 pixels. Read Amazon’s product image guide for the category you sell. Leave type off the still. Keep sale treatments for ads.
Models still invent extra objects when you ask for “more premium,” “gift-ready,” or “campaign style.” Shorten the brief. One SKU. One scene.
Krea’s published speed and price are useful context for why keep-the-product edits are the current job. They are not a ranking of FreeGPTImg. If the screen says GPT Image 2, the file is GPT Image 2.
FAQ
Is a lifestyle still the same as a background changer?
No. A lifestyle still puts the SKU in an in-use room or outdoor set. A background changer can send the same SKU to gray, marble, wood, or a shelf without implying the product is being used. Those are different downloads. FreeGPTImg’s lifestyle product photo generator does not promise a pure white MAIN image or a pixel-perfect transparent PNG.
Can I use the file as an Amazon main image?
No, not as a substitute for MAIN. Amazon’s product image guide still wants a realistic photo of the item you sell on a pure white field, without extra graphics or type. Lifestyle belongs in later slots or in ads. AI output is a draft until a person checks it. This tool does not certify a listing.
Should I generate a new lifestyle scene from text instead of editing the upload?
Generate from text when you do not have a trusted photo. Edit when the SKU in the upload is already correct and you only need the room. Do not do both in one prompt.
Does FreeGPTImg run Krea 3, GPT Image 2.5, or Nano Banana 2.1?
Use the label on the page you opened. FreeGPTImg currently exposes GPT Image 2 on this loop. Write that name into the file. Do not stamp a Krea 3, 2.5, or 2.1 badge because a docs page used that id.
Can I drop a person into the scene?
Only if on-model is the job, you have the right to use that likeness, and you inspect hands, fit, and extra logos. A lifestyle still does not require a person. A random “happy customer” is a new subject, not scenery.
Can I lifestyle someone else’s listing photo?
Do not. Upload a photo you have the right to use. A competitor pack shot is not a lighting reference. Look references, if you use them, control finish only.

Make one lifestyle still on FreeGPTImg
Write five lines: the real SKU, one in-use scene, the crop, the model name on the screen, and empty type. Open FreeGPTImg, upload in the lifestyle product photo generator, keep MAIN on the white-background product photo tool, cut a marketplace crop in the Amazon product photo generator, send catalog surfaces to the product background changer, keep materials honest in AI product photography, polish from a locked hero in image to image, and stay on GPT Image 2 when that is the loop in front of you. Download the image. Overlay the real offer last.
