Turn a Logo and Colors into a Brand Identity Showcase
Upload a real logo and hex colors, then mock one surface at a time. Prompt formula, review checklist, and a free GPT Image 2 brand-board workflow.

An AI brand identity showcase works when you upload a real logo, lock two or three hex colors, and mock one surface. It is not a new logo. OpenAI launched ChatGPT Images 2.5 on September 8, 2026, and said it is better at keeping subjects from reference photos. The same rule already applies on GPT Image 2: keep the mark, change the mockup. Overlay real type later. A polished board is a presentation, not a trademark.
Start from a file you already own. Draft in FreeGPTImg, open the AI brand identity showcase, invent a mark only in the AI logo generator, stay on GPT Image 2 for the loop you already use, upload the same logo in image to image when one surface needs a tighter edit, invent a scene without a logo only in the AI text-to-image generator, browse related looks in AI image templates, or recrop a finished frame in AI social media ads.
What a brand identity showcase actually does
A showcase applies an identity you already have. You give the model a logo file plus a short color list, then ask for one real-world surface: a brand board, a business card, a box, a social template, a tee, or a product render. The logo is the subject. The surface is the only thing that should move.
A logo generator invents a mark. A mood board hunts for a feeling before the mark exists. A packaging mockup can be one SKU with no system around it. The showcase sits after those jobs. A stranger should still recognize the uploaded logo in three seconds. If the wordmark rewrites itself, the hex drifts, or a second symbol appears, the presentation failed even if the studio lighting looks expensive.
Google Pics, rolling out from September 1, 2026 to Google AI Pro, Ultra, and many Workspace plans, uses the Nano Banana family for posters, social posts, and object-level edits inside Docs and Slides. That is a useful Workspace surface. It is not FreeGPTImg. FreeGPTImg remains a GPT Image 2 workspace: 20 daily free credits, no credit card required. Use the model in front of you. Do not relabel a GPT Image 2 file as Images 2.5 or Nano Banana.
Pick one surface before you upload
Weak showcases fail because they ask for a brand board, a rewritten wordmark, a new mascot, and a slogan at once. Name the slot first.
| Job | Start from | Change one thing | Keep | Wrong move |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brand board | Logo PNG plus 2–3 hex codes | Layout of logo, swatches, and type direction | Mark geometry and exact colors | Inventing a second logo or fake font names |
| Business card | The same logo, same palette | Card crop, paper, and empty name band | Logo size and clear space | Letting the model write a phone number or URL |
| Packaging | Real pack silhouette if you have one | Box, label, bag, or sleeve mockup | Logo, barcode-free face, brand colors | Rewriting the legal name on the pack |
| Social template | Approved logo lockup | One ratio: 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16 | Corner mark and palette | Filling the frame with unreadable campaign copy |
| Apparel | Flat tee or tote photo, or a simple studio | Print placement on one garment | Logo proportions | Stretching the mark across seams and pockets |
| Product render | A real product photo when the SKU exists | Scene, light, or material around the logo | Product shape and label art | Using the render as an Amazon main image |
A showcase is not a marketplace MAIN image. Amazon still wants a realistic photo of the actual product for most categories, on a pure white background, with no badges or lifestyle props in that slot. A branded box on a wooden table is a secondary or pitch visual. Overlay real words in an editor. Names, prices, URLs, and legal lines never belong in the generator if they must be exact.
One-surface showcase workflow
Use the same sequence in the brand identity showcase template, a GPT Image 2 image-to-image tab, Google Pics object edit, or ChatGPT Images 2.5.
- Upload a logo you would print. PNG with a transparent or plain background. A screenshot from a website, a photo of a sign, or a tiny favicon will smear.
- Lock two or three hex codes. Write them in the prompt. “Warm and premium” is not a palette.
- Name one surface. “Front of a 3.5 by 2 inch business card.” Not “full brand kit, website, app, and merch.”
- Write keep / change / do-not. Three short lines. If a line is missing, the model will redraw the letters.
- Keep the crop. Generate three options at the same aspect ratio. A new ratio is a new job.
- Inspect the logo first. If a letter melted, a serif appeared, or the icon flipped, stop. Do not stack a second mockup on a broken mark.
- Overlay real words later. Founder name, tagline, URL, and prices go in a design tool. Leave an empty band if you need type.
- Export for the real slot. Recrop a square post, a 16:9 pitch slide, or a print sheet in the matching tool instead of stretching one board.
OpenAI’s Images 2.5 notes are useful even if you never open ChatGPT: keep the subject from the reference, edit one element, and expect earlier edits to survive later turns. That is a mockup rule, not a license to run ten surfaces until the logo drifts.
Prompt formula
Brand identity showcase, not a new logo and not a collage.
Reference: the uploaded logo is the only source of truth for the mark.
Keep: [exact geometry, letterforms, icon, hex #______ / #______ / #______]. Do not redraw letters. Do not add a second symbol.
Change only: the surface to [brand board / business card / box mockup / 4:5 social template / tee print].
Background: [clean studio / kraft paper / matte desk]. Lighting: soft, even, no colored gels.
Text in image: none, or leave an empty band at [top / bottom / right] for type I will add later.
Do not add: fake phone numbers, URLs, prices, awards, other brand logos, watermarks, or a new wordmark.
Prompt examples
Brand board. “Keep this uploaded logo exactly, including the leaf icon and the wordmark spacing. Palette only #1F4E3D, #F4EFE6, and #111111. Change only the layout to a clean landscape brand board: logo top left, three color swatches with empty hex labels I will fill, one dummy headline block with no real words. White studio background. Do not invent a second mark.”
Business card. “Keep this logo. Change only the surface to a 3.5 by 2 inch business card, front view, soft paper texture, logo top left at modest size. Leave the lower half empty for a name I will typeset later. Same two brand colors. No phone number, no website, no QR.”
Packaging. “Keep this logo and the cream-and-ink palette. Change only the surface to a matte folding carton on a seamless studio sweep. Logo centered on the front panel. No ingredients, no net weight, no barcode. Do not rewrite the brand name.”
Social template. “Keep this logo in the top-left corner at small size. Change only the surface to a 4:5 social post with a solid brand-color background and a large empty center for overlay type. No slogan. No fake handle.”
Apparel. “Keep this logo at chest scale, undistorted. Change only the surface to a folded navy t-shirt on a white table. Do not wrap the mark around the sleeve. No extra icons.”
If the first batch moves the keep-list, shorten the prompt. One surface. Then retry. Free retry exists on FreeGPTImg when a generation misses. Use it on the same brief, not a new invented logo.
Review the pixels before you put the board in a deck
Zoom to 100%. Thumbnails hide letter drift.
- Mark fidelity. Same letters, same icon, same proportions. If you cannot match it to the file in three seconds, discard it.
- Color. Sample the swatches. If #1F4E3D became teal or gold, the board is a different brand.
- Clear space. The logo should not kiss the crop, the fold, or a fake badge.
- Type honesty. Empty bands stay empty. Unreadable “brand name” lettering is worse than no type.
- Provenance and rights. OpenAI still uses C2PA metadata and an invisible watermark on GPT Image outputs. Google publishes SynthID and Content Credential checks on more surfaces. Downstream apps may keep, strip, or flag that data. You also need rights to the logo, fonts, and any product photo you upload. A prettier mockup is not a license and not a trademark filing.
Limitations you should not skip
A showcase is not a brand strategy workshop and not a legal clearance. Do not upload another company’s mark to “see how it would look.” Do not ask the model to imitate a famous identity, sports crest, or luxury monogram. If a platform requires AI disclosure on ads or listings, follow that policy.
ChatGPT Images 2.5 is not GPT Image 2. Google Pics is a Workspace product for Pro, Ultra, and listed business plans; it is not a FreeGPTImg feature. On FreeGPTImg you are in a GPT Image 2 loop with the brand identity showcase template. Write the model you used into the file name.
Better subject preservation is not infinite restyle. If turn three redraws a letter, revert. Do not stack adjectives. Do not ask for “more premium” if that means a new serif wordmark. If you still need a logo, that is the logo generator, then come back. If you need a catalog white background, that is a different tool and a different brief.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office treats a trademark as a source identifier you actually use in commerce, with a search and filing process that sits outside any image model. Generated mockups can support a pitch. They do not replace a search, a vector rebuild, or counsel.
FAQ
What is an AI brand identity showcase?
It is a tool that takes an uploaded logo plus a short color list and returns a presentation of how that identity could look on one real surface. FreeGPTImg includes a brand identity showcase template on GPT Image 2, with 20 daily free credits and no credit card required.
Do I need to upload a logo?
Yes if the job is a showcase. Image-to-image is how the mark stays connected to your file. If you do not have a logo yet, explore directions in the logo generator first, pick one, rebuild or vectorize it, then return to mockups.
Can I invent the logo and the mockups in one prompt?
You can, and the letters will usually melt. Split the jobs. Lock a mark. Then mock one surface. Combining “new wordmark plus packaging plus slogan” is how you get a pretty board that does not match any file you can actually print.
Can I file a trademark from an AI showcase?
No. A showcase is a picture of an idea. Trademark filing still needs a mark you control, a search for confusingly similar marks, and the rules of the office where you file. Rebuild the final logo as editable vector artwork before you print, embroider, or apply.
Why did the logo change even though I uploaded it?
The prompt asked for a new style, a mascot, extra text, or a second surface on top of the first. Shorten it. Name the hex codes. Generate three options on the same crop. If the keep-list still drifts, the logo file is too small, too compressed, or photographed at an angle.
Can I use a generated box mockup as an Amazon main image?
Usually no. For most categories the main image must be a realistic photo of the actual product, typically on a pure white background, without lifestyle props, badges, or extra graphics. Keep AI showcases for decks, social templates, and secondary slots, and check the current category style guide before you upload.

Mock one surface on FreeGPTImg
Upload one logo. Lock the colors. Name one surface. Open FreeGPTImg, run the job in the AI brand identity showcase, stay on GPT Image 2 when that is the model in front of you, and send a finished frame to AI social media ads only after the mark still matches the file you uploaded.
